Sinister Night Runs - April 25, 2026
Sinister Night Runs is a night trail running event in Queen Creek, Arizona, held at San Tan Mountain Regional Park. The event is part of the 2026 Insomniac Night Trail Run Series and offers multiple race distances on marked desert trails. Live split tracking will be available during the race.
Course and logistics
- 54K - six 9 km loops; 34.3 miles; total gain 3,179 ft
- 27K - three 9 km loops; 17.12 miles; total gain 1,588 ft
- 18K - two 9 km loops; 11.4 miles; total gain 1,058 ft
- 9K - single 9 km loop; 5.71 miles; total gain 529 ft
- 6K - single lap using Littleleaf, San Tan, Moonlight; 3.7 miles; total gain 291 ft
All distances use the San Tan, Hedgehog and Littleleaf Trails and run counter-clockwise. The 54K is six laps of the 9 km loop; 27K is three laps; 18K is two laps. There is one full remote aid station (San Tan Aid) stocked with water, electrolyte drinks, snacks, fruit, pb&j, bean rollups and hot food. Crews are allowed at the start/finish; pacers are allowed only for 54K runners beginning on loop 5. A drop bag area is provided at the start/finish. Runners should note cupless aid stations, a $7 park entry fee per vehicle, no on-course pets, and no camping in the park. MedStar Solutions will provide on-site medical support.
