Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs
Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs takes place on Saturday, March 13, 2027 at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, AZ. The event offers multiple distances on desert single track and dirt roads, including varied climbs, rocky sections, sandy washes, and areas with boulders and desert plants.
Distances
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 30K
- Half Marathon
- 8K
- Kid's Fun Run approximately 1.5 miles
The 50K and 50 Mile courses pass through Ford Canyon, a hazardous wash that requires basic navigational skills and some downhill rock scrambling over the White Tank rock formations. Courses are marked with colored ribbons and laminated signs; signs correspond with bib colors for each distance. There are aid stations spaced between 1.8 and 8.8 miles. Due to a remote stretch with no aid, runners are advised to carry at least 2 to 3 bottles of fluid (50 to 70 ounces). The Mesquite aid is supplied by pack transport and will have no ice. Ford Canyon aid is water only. Drop bags are permitted at Goat Camp for 50K and 50 Mile runners.
Event services include chip timing with posted results, live split tracking when available, awards for top three men and women at each distance, and finisher awards for all finishers. Crews are allowed at the start finish and Goat Camp and pacers are permitted for 50 Mile runners after the 50K mark or from Goat Camp. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
