Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs - White Tank Mountain Regional Park
Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs takes place on March 13, 2027 at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, AZ. The event offers multiple distances on desert trails:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- 30K
- Half Marathon
- 8K
- Kid's Fun Run
All courses use single track and dirt roads with typical desert conditions including rocks, sand, cactus and gravel. The 50K and 50 Mile courses include steep climbs, long descents and a hazardous Ford Canyon wash that requires basic navigational skills and some downhill rock scrambling over the White Tank rock formations.
Aid stations are placed every 1.8 to 8.8 miles. There is a continuous 8.8 mile stretch with no aid on the 50M, 50K and 30K courses; participants are advised to carry 50 to 70 ounces of fluids. The Mesquite aid is remote and will not have ice, the Goat Camp aid accepts drop bags and will have water and ice, and Ford Canyon is water only. The event is cupless with reusable cups available for purchase.
Courses are marked with orange ribbons with black polka dots and colored laminated signs that correspond to bib colors. Chip timing is used and results are reported by gun time. Crews are allowed at the start/finish and Goat Camp aid station; pacers are permitted for 50 mile runners after the 50K mark or at Goat Camp. Awards are given to top finishers and all finishers receive a finisher award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
