Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs
Mesquite Canyon Trail Runs takes place at White Tank Mountain Regional Park in Waddell, AZ on March 13, 2027. The event offers multiple trail distances on single track and dirt roads through desert terrain that includes boulders, sandy washes, and native desert flora.
Distances

- 50K
- 30K
- Half Marathon
- 8K
- Kid’s Fun Run
The 50K and 50 Mile courses include a hazardous Ford Canyon wash that requires basic navigation and some downhill rock scrambling over White Tank rock formations. Courses feature significant climbing and descending on single track, with sections that pass through large sandy washes and boulder fields. All courses are marked with colored signs and orange ribboning; signs at junctions correspond to bib colors.
Aid stations are located every 1.8 to 8.8 miles, with a noted 8.8 mile stretch on some courses without aid; stations supply water, electrolyte drink, snacks, and fruit. The event uses chip timing with results posted by gun time and may provide live split tracking where connectivity allows. Crews are allowed at the start/finish and Goat Camp aid station; pacers are permitted for 50 mile runners after the 50K mark or from the Goat Camp area. Drop bags are permitted at Goat Camp for 50 Mile and 50K runners. A time limit and several aid station cutoffs apply. Park entry fee is $10 as of January 1, 2026.
