Aoraki Mount Cook Marathon
The Aoraki Mount Cook Marathon is a road running event held in early April in Aoraki Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand. Races start and finish at the Mt Cook Lodge in Aoraki Mount Cook Village and follow out-and-back courses along the main Mt Cook Road beside Lake Pukaki and mountain and glacial scenery. The marathon is two laps of the half marathon course.

Aid and facilities are provided along the course. Water and sports beans are available at eight checkpoints spaced at about every 5 km, while participants are expected to carry their own food and hydration for the marathon. Portaloos are provided near the start and finish in the Mt Cook Lodge car park. A certified traffic management professional and race officials manage safety and course signage; participants must follow officials and red arrow markers.
Event administration notes list online registration windows, pre-event registration and race pack collection at Mt Cook Lodge the day before and on race day. The awards ceremony takes place at the Chamois Bar & Grill / Mt Cook Lodge on race day.
