Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K (1st Annual)
The event is a community running event on October 3, 2026, held at 8801 N. Territorial Road in Dexter, Michigan. The day includes a 5K and youth sprints, local vendors, food, music, and family-oriented activities. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, a 501(c)(3) organization; donations are tax deductible.
Distances:
- 5K - Open Division and Ostomate Division
- 50 Yards - Kids races for ages 5 and under and ages 6 to 10
The 5K features an Open Division with multiple age groups and an Ostomate Division with awards to the top three ostomates. Registration fees listed are $35.00 for the 5K divisions and $20.00 for each kids dash. Registration opens February 1, 2026; the main 5K registration closes July 31, 2026 while some youth registrations remain open through race day.
Fundraising options include personal and team fundraisers. Participants who raise $150 or more receive a registration fee refund. Recognized fundraising levels include Empower at $250 and Champion at $450, with corresponding awards to be announced. A referral program offers a $20 refund when five additional people register.
