Amelia Earhart Fun Run/Walk

The Amelia Earhart Fun Run/Walk is a family friendly event held in conjunction with the Amelia Earhart Festival in Atchison. The course begins and ends at the Atchison Family YMCA, 321 Commercial Street, Atchison, KS 66002. The event is not a closed course.

Two distances are offered:

8k (4.97 miles) - chip timed, includes some hills.
2k (1.24 miles) - mostly flat with one uphill and one downhill.

Finishers receive medals. Timing is done with chips to record finish results. After the run, activities continue in the nearby mall area as part of the festival program.

Registration information is provided for both distances: registration opens 9/18/2026 and closes 1/1/2027. The registration fee is $20.00 per entry.
