Alzheimer's Half Marathon

Alzheimer's 5K and Half Marathon - 14th Annual

This event takes place at Heritage Pond and Heritage Trail on Rupp Hollow Road in Dubuque, IA. The program includes multiple race options and supporting activities around the pond and trail.

The course layout: the 5K is an out and back route that crosses a bridge and heads toward town. The half marathon uses a segment that includes a 5 mile out and back toward Durango and finishes on the 5K portion. Due to Highway 3 construction the half marathon will be detoured via Clay Hill Road and Burtons Furnace Road before returning to the heritage trail; the revised half marathon includes about 266 feet of elevation gain.

Packet pick up is available before race day at the Heritage Pond drive up and there is on-site packet pick up and registration on race morning for an additional fee. T shirts are included with early registration; T shirts are not guaranteed after August 1. If the event is cancelled, entry fees will be donated to the Alzheimer's Association and entries made by August 1 will receive a shirt.

Awards and finishers: trophies are given to overall winners and top finishers in the half marathon, and medals are awarded to top three men and women in listed age divisions for both the 5K and the half marathon. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer's Association.
