Alzheimer's 5K and Half Marathon - 14th Annual
This event takes place on August 15, 2026 at Heritage Pond Campground and Heritage Trail Pond on Highway 52 in Dubuque, IA. It offers multiple running options and community-focused organization.

The 5K uses an out-and-back course that crosses a bridge and heads toward town. The half marathon follows a five mile out-and-back section heading west toward Durango and finishes on the 5K portion. A water station is provided at the 1 mile marker on the 5K course. There is a four hour time limit for the event. There is no team relay this year.
Registration fees vary by event and by date. Examples from listed tiers include half marathon early registration for $40 and stepped increases later in the season; 5K early registration for $25 with later fee increases; kids fun run registration for $10 with a shirt available for $5. Family and group options are offered with specific pricing for groups of family members and Ainsley’s Angels groups. Early packet pick up is available at the Heritage Pond drive up on Friday August 14; additional packet pick up and registration is available on race morning for an extra fee.
Awards include trophies for overall winners and medals for top three male and female finishers in designated age divisions. A $10 gift card is noted for any division or overall 5K record broken. Lodging options listed include Heritage Campground and a local Holiday Inn Express. Proceeds benefit the Alzheimer’s Association and if the event is cancelled entry fees will go to that beneficiary and registrants will receive shirts.
