Event Overview
The ALS Crusaders 5k is a charity running event organized as part of a Foróige Leadership Program service project. The event will take place at Archbishop Stepinac High School, located at 950 Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains, NY.
All proceeds from the race will be donated directly to the Live Like Lou ALS Foundation. The foundation was created to honor the legacy of New York Yankees player Lou Gehrig, funding research, raising awareness, and providing support for ALS patients and their families.
Event Format
Participants can choose from two event options:
- ALS Crusaders 5k: An in-person event.
- ALS Crusaders VIRTUAL 5k: A virtual race option for those who cannot attend in person.
On-Site Details
The event will be held regardless of weather conditions. Participants in the in-person event can collect their race bibs on-site starting at 8:00 AM on the day of the race. Indoor bathrooms are available within the school building, and participants are permitted to wait inside the school before the start.
The event offers a long-sleeve performance t-shirt for runners and walkers who register by a specified date (February 21st). Finishers will also receive a medal.

- Top 3 overall male finishers.
- Top 3 overall female finishers.
- Top 3 finishers who are Stepinac students.
- Top 3 finishers who are Stepinac faculty or staff.
