Alresford 10k
Alresford 10k is scheduled for 21 June 2026 and takes place in the market town of Alresford, Hampshire. The route runs through the town, past the watercress beds and into the surrounding countryside. Half of the course is an out and back section and the route includes hills.
The start and finish are based at Arlebury Park. Toilets, a baggage area and limited changing facilities are available at the park. There will be a water point on the route. Organisers ask runners to bring reusable drinks bottles and to use the water available at Arlebury Park to reduce waste.
Two types of participation are listed:
- 10 km road race
- Children's fun runs for ages up to 11 years
Children's fun runs are organised by Sun Hill School and funds raised go to Sun Hill Junior School. The event does not include T shirts or medals as part of the entry fee; organisers are considering locally sourced finishers' goodies. Local businesses support the event and provide sponsorship and prizes, including The Watercress Company, Louis Pommery, Station Mill Gym, Long Barn and The Flower Pots.
Prizes are awarded to the overall first, second and third Man and Woman, plus first place in age group categories in five year bands. Running clubs may set up banners and club hubs on the park field. Parking is available at Perins School and at the Watercress Line station, with limited on street parking in the town. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
