Event Overview

The Alresford 10k is a road race set in the market town of Alresford, Hampshire. The route goes through the town, past local watercress beds, and into the countryside. Half of the course is an out-and-back section, and the route includes hills.

Venue & Facilities

The start and finish are in Arlebury Park. Facilities there include toilets, a baggage area, and limited changing facilities. There will be a water point on the route.

Environmental Policy

The event aims to reduce its environmental impact. T-shirts and medals are not provided as part of the entry fee. Instead, organizers are looking to offer locally sourced treats to finishers. Participants are asked to bring their own reusable bottles to fill with water available at the park and to take any litter home.

Other Activities

Before the main 10k race, there will be children's fun runs for those aged up to 11, organized by Sun Hill School. Money raised from these fun runs goes to the school.

Prizes & Participation

Prizes will be awarded to the overall first, second, and third man and woman. There are also age group prizes in five-year bands for first place in each category. Running clubs are encouraged to bring banners and set up club hubs in the park.

Travel

Participants are encouraged to car share, use public transport, walk, or cycle. Parking will be available at Perins School and at the Watercress Line station in Alresford, with limited on-street parking in the town. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
