About the race
The AKF USA Houston Walk & Run is a fundraising event organized by the Aga Khan Foundation USA on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at Constellation Field in Sugar Land, TX. The event combines a timed 5K run and a community walk with on-site activities and fundraising features. Participants in the 5K receive a parking pass, race bib, event t-shirt, finisher amenities, and a finisher medal or award. Walk attendees may join without a paid 5K registration; the walk option includes live entertainment, cultural showcases, wellness activations, family-friendly activities, and a personalized fundraising page.
The event program includes an opening ceremony, awards presentation for the 5K, stage performances, and food trucks. The event uses peer-to-peer fundraising: registered participants can create individual or team fundraising pages, personalize them with a story and photo, and appear on leaderboards for top fundraisers and top teams. Parking for 5K runners is provided in Lot 1 with ticketed entry; this lot will close for the duration of the race. General attendees are directed to Lot 2, where each vehicle requires a $10 parking pass. The AKF USA Walk & Run is presented as a signature fundraising event of the Aga Khan Foundation USA.
