About the race
The Ajman Triathlon is the sixth edition of a multi-discipline race organised by Endurance Sports Services with the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman and the UAE Triathlon Federation. The event takes place on Ajman Corniche with swim, bike and run legs held close to the shoreline.
The course is described as flat and smooth. The swim takes place in calm Gulf waters, the bike leg uses traffic-free roads, and the run follows a dedicated route alongside the sea. The event venue is Al Rumailah 1 - Ajman, roughly 30 minutes by car from Dubai.
Race categories include:
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 42.6 km bike, 8 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 22.3 km bike, 4 km run
- Super Sprint: 375 m swim, 11 km bike, 2.5 km run
- Junior Super Sprint (U12): 150 m swim, 5.4 km bike, 1.5 km run
Mixed relay teams of two or three athletes are permitted. Automated timing and electronic certificates are provided; finisher medals and finalist medals are awarded. Medical personnel are present on site and water stations are available on the run course and at the finish area. Total cash prizes amount to AED 50,000, allocated to top Emirati male and female finishers and top overall male and female finishers across distances.
