About the race
The Ahuriri Half Marathon is a road running event in Napier, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand held on Sunday 11 October 2026. Races start and finish at the Ahuriri Waterfront and use a flat coastal out-and-back route along the Ahuriri Estuary.
Three event options are offered:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon, two loops of a 10.55 km out-and-back course
- 10 km Run, one loop of the out-and-back course
- 4-person relay, four legs of approximately 5 km each with change-over zones at about 5 km, 10 km and 15 km
Aid stations are provided at the 5 km turnaround, 10.5 km and 16 km points and coincide with some relay change-over zones. All individual finishers and all relay team members receive a finisher medal. Post-race refreshments and a secure bag drop are available at the finish area. A GPX file of the course can be downloaded for GPS devices.
Entry fees listed are $40 for the half marathon, $25 for the 10 km and $80 per team for the 4-person relay. Minimum age requirements are 16 for the half marathon and 12 for the 10 km. A three hour course time limit applies. Dogs and pushchairs are not permitted for safety reasons. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
