About the race
The XV Maratón Aguascalientes 2026 is organized by Fundación Maratón Aguascalientes with approvals from World Athletics, AIMS, FMAA and AAA. It takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026 with start and finish at Avenida Gómez Morín, in front of the Antiguo Taller de Locomotoras.

Age categories are defined by distance and sex; full-adult minimums apply for the marathon and half-marathon (18 years or older on race day). Medical certificates are mandatory for participants in the 42.195 k and 21.0975 k distances and recommended for 10 k and 5 k. Entry opens 1 December 2025 and closes 24 October 2026 or until places are filled; total capacity is limited to 5,000 participants. Entry fees are listed by registration period and are the same for all distances and categories. Competitor packets are distributed at the Antiguo Taller de Locomotoras on the two days prior to the race and include bib, commemorative shirt, disposable timing chip and postrace refreshment. Medals are awarded to finishers who complete their distance. Routes are loop circuits measured by AIMS and validated by WA and others; the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier.
