About the race
The Adventure on the Creek Triathlon in Del Rio, TX is a multisport course that follows sections of San Felipe Creek and passes local landmarks including Val Verde Winery, Brinkley Mansion, Val Verde County Courthouse, The Cassinelli Gin House and The Whitehead Museum. The event takes place at Rotary Park on Oct 24, 2026.
The race is organized as three consecutive legs. Distances for the legs are:
- Cycling - 6.5 Miles
- Run - 2.75 Miles
- Kayak - 1.25 Miles
Participants may enter as individuals or form relay teams. Awards are given in individual male and female divisions by age group (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) and across several relay categories. Relay awards include top emergency services, top student division, top male relay, top female relay, top coed relay, top business and top school district relay, with separate male, female and coed classifications where listed.
