About the race
ACORN Sandhead 10 is a ten-mile multi-terrain race from Sandhead to Stranraer along the Mull of Galloway Trail in Scotland. The route starts on Luce Bay sands, climbs dunes, then uses back roads, farm fields, woodland, and a stretch of the Southern Upland Way before finishing on Stranraer Pier with views across Loch Ryan. It is designated as part of Scotland’s Great Trails, specifically the last 10 miles of the Mull of Galloway Trail.
The event is marked and marshalled, with water stations, snacks, finish refreshments, a goody bag, cheese for podium prizes, charity donations, and bus transfers from Stranraer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
