Acoma Sky City Jamboree
The Acoma Sky City Jamboree is a running and walking event held in Acoma Pueblo that features professionally timed races on paved roads. The courses pass through areas where the historic setting and natural landscape combine, offering views of the Acoma Valley and surrounding desert.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles
- 5K Run - 3.12 Miles
- 1 Mile Fitness Walk - 1 Mile
Packet pick up is scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026 at the Sky City Casino Hotel Acoma; exact pick-up hours are to be confirmed. The weekend is centered at the Sky City Cultural Center and Haak’u Museum event site, which presents exhibits on Acoma history, art, and cultural practices. Guided tours originate from the Cultural Center and allow visitors to learn about traditional adobe structures.
Sky City sits atop a 367-foot sandstone bluff and dates back over 900 years, making the location of historical interest. Every half-marathon finisher receives a custom high-tech shirt, sunglasses, a running hat, a spike bag, and a medal. Every 5K finisher receives a custom high-tech shirt, sunglasses, and a medal.
