Aber Days 5k Walk/Run
The event features a measured 5K walk/run on an out-and-back course that crosses state lines between North Dakota and Minnesota. The route passes through Abercrombie and Fort Abercrombie, goes over the Red River, continues through McCauleyville, then heads north over a creek to a turnaround and returns on the same route to the finish line.
The 5K course is USA Track & Field certified (USATF ND23009TRR). The 5K begins on the south edge of the Aber Park & Museum grounds in Abercrombie, North Dakota.
Registration for the 5K opens in early July and closes in late July. The published online registration fee is $25. Race day or on-site registration is listed at $30. Registrations after July 15 at midnight are not guaranteed a T-shirt. A limited number of extra T-shirts will be available on race day.
There is also a Kids Mini-Run of 333.333 yards, described as a 1,000-foot fun run for children. The kids event has no registration fee listed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
