Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club 5k, 10k and Half Marathon 2027
Abbeyknockmoy Hurling Club stages the second edition of its road races on 12 September 2027 in Abbeyknockmoy, Co. Galway. The event offers three distances: 5k, 10k, and a half marathon.
All routes have been accurately measured and certified and the races hold Athletics Ireland accreditation. Chip timing will be used for all distances. A permit has been approved, certificate number 26/583. Race maps are provided for illustration and the routes are certified.
Prizes will be awarded across all distances. Finishers receive a medal and post-race refreshments. The event is presented as an opportunity to assess training progress ahead of autumn target races.
The description from the organiser notes that the 5k follows a route used in the Galway 5k Race Series and that the 10k and half marathon are new routes for this edition. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
