Aalborg Marathon 2027
Aalborg Marathon 2027 is a mass-participation running and walking event held at Skansen Idrætscenter in Nørresundby, with an event plaza for participants and spectators. The course runs along and crosses the Limfjord, using Kulturbroen and Limfjordsbroen on the half marathon and marathon routes. The event offers on-course depots and an event depot with fluids and fruit at the finish area.
Facilities at Skansen Idrætscenter include changing rooms, showers, toilets and supervised baggage storage. Start numbers can be collected from the local running shop Løberen in Aalborg in the days before the event and at the event plaza on race day. All finishers receive a medal and a goodiebag, and participants can purchase an event t-shirt with a purchase deadline of 9 July 2027.
There are pacemakers on the half marathon and marathon distances; their target times are displayed on the flags they carry. The marathon route is two laps of the half marathon route. Because the bridges used on the route open for ship traffic, there is a cut-off requiring that runners reach 35 km within 3 hours and 50 minutes; there is also an overall time limit of 6 hours.
