9/11 Heroes Run - Houston, Texas
The 9/11 Heroes Run is a community 5K event held on 09/12/2026 at Houston City Hall, 901 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002. It honors the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served the nation since, and it aims to activate and unite communities while supporting local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The event features a core 5K distance offered in multiple divisions, including running and rucking. TMF partners with GORUCK to provide rucking divisions at every run; participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive this year’s exclusive TMF GORUCK patch. There are also honor-bib registrations and volunteer opportunities.
Registration for most entries opens May 27, 2026; volunteer registration opens June 1, 2026. Fees for paid entries in the available divisions range from $15 to $41, and some registration types are offered at no fee. Certain registration options do not include an event shirt or swag bag. No-fee active duty registrations receive an unchipped runner’s bib and are not eligible for top finisher awards. No-shirt no-swag registrants receive a chipped bib and remain eligible for awards.
