9/11 Heroes Run - Hinesville, GA
The 9/11 Heroes Run in Hinesville, Georgia takes place on September 19, 2026 at Shuman Recreation Center and along Shuman Trail. The event welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who have served since. It aims to activate and unite communities and to support local veterans, active duty personnel, first responders, and families of the fallen.
The event includes a rucking division offered in partnership with GORUCK. Rucking involves walking or running while carrying a weighted rucksack, based on special forces training. Participants registered in the GORUCK division will receive this year’s TMF GORUCK patch.
Registration for the race divisions opens June 3, 2026 and closes June 30, 2026. Fees for the race divisions are listed as $36.00 for the 5K Run and $41.00 for the 5K Ruck. Volunteer registration opens June 3, 2026 and closes September 19, 2026; volunteer registration is free.
