Course and participation
- 5K - Long Course
- 1.91 miles - Short Course
- 5K - Cat Nap single-loop 5K
Participants may switch between the long and short course at any time during the event. Both courses include a section called Bulldog's Revenge Hill. Entry options include SOLO (ages 14 and older), team relays in 3–4 person and 5–6 person divisions, a Cat Nap 5K (adult and youth), and an RC Cup category for nonprofit running clubs. Team categories are Female, Male, and Coed. Coed rules specify minimum female membership by team size (3–4 person teams: at least one female for three-member teams and at least two females for four-member teams; 5–6 person teams: at least two females for five-member teams and at least three females for six-member teams). RC Cup teams must be nonprofit running clubs and field six-person coed teams (three males, three females); clubs may enter only one RC Cup team but may enter additional teams in the open divisions. A post-race celebration includes a cookout, live music, a beer garden, and podium ceremonies. Tent village rules set a 10 x 10 footprint, require leashed dogs, and prohibit open flames.
