5K Run/Walk/Roll for Brain Injury Awareness
The Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey organizes an annual 5K Run/Walk/Roll to raise awareness and funds for people affected by brain injury. The event series includes regional, in-person gatherings and a virtual option. Listed in the program are three regional dates and meeting locations: North Jersey at Saddle River County Park (DunkerHook Pavilion Picnic Area D), South Jersey at Laurel Acres Park (pavilion across from the Church Street parking lot), and a Shore 5K/Walk on the Bradley Beach Boardwalk where free street parking is noted.
On-site procedures include a check-in table where participants pick up a t-shirt; Bradley Beach 5K participants receive a bib and t-shirt. Day-of registration via mobile is available and children under five may attend free with registration. Virtual participants may complete the activity on their own schedule and are invited to take photos and share them on social media. The event is dog-friendly and proceeds support programs and services provided by the Brain Injury Alliance of New Jersey. The series is held rain or shine. In 2025 the Walks brought together over 1,000 families and raised more than $100,000 to fund BIANJ services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
