About the race
The 5K Poulet Rouge is the first edition of a 5 km running event taking place on 10 October 2026 at Parc régional Bois-de-Belle-Rivière in Mirabel, Quebec. The course is described as easy and is set up for a mass participation run. Race services included with registration are a bib with a timing chip, a finisher medal for every participant, postrace snacks and refreshments, and the distribution of a Rouge Bol. The event atmosphere will feature a DJ, an on-site presenter, and the event mascot Rico. The event supports Sport Jeunesse Québec, an organization that reduces financial barriers by covering registration fees for young people.
The organizer notes that in Quebec, one in two young people cannot take part in organized sport because of cost; proceeds from this event contribute to addressing that issue. Registration is open until 3 October 2026 at midnight or until participant capacity is reached. A prepaid rate of 40.00$ before service fees is listed as valid until 1 October 2026.
