5K FEST - 24 hour 5K format
5K FEST is a 24 hour running event organized by Freedom Ultra Runners at the 18 acre Kearin Family Farm in Bonney Lake, WA. A new 5K starts every hour for 24 hours. Participants may enter as solo runners or as part of a team and may run any number of the hourly 5Ks.
The course uses a mix of farm paths and the adjacent Fennel Creek Trail. Terrain includes pasture, rocky soil and sections of paved trail. The site has room for tents and RVs for camping on the event property.
Event amenities listed by the organizer include porta potties, water, electrolytes, food and snacks, music, games and swag. Early registrants are expected to receive a race T-shirt. Every entrant or team receives a custom wood plank that will be branded or engraved with the number of 5Ks completed. Sponsors include Diamond Detail, CrossFit Puyallup and Hummingbird Fuel.
Registration closes August 10, 2026. The format allows participants to run one 5K, several 5Ks, or as many as they can during the 24 hour period, and to take breaks between hourly starts as desired. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
