5K AIDS & Cancer Run/Walk 2027
The event is a community 5K run and walk held in Baldwin, New York, with an additional free quarter-mile toddlers run for children age four and under. The organizer offers both in-person and virtual participation options.

Registration is not yet open and will open ahead of the listed event date. Early registration details affect some benefits such as name printing on shirts and personalized bibs when registered three weeks in advance.
Participant amenities include an event dryfit t-shirt, a variety of food and beverage offerings, raffles, live online/text/email results, free finish-line photos, and same-day finish videos. Participants receive gift certificates from local businesses. There is no registration charge for people living with HIV or cancer and for veterans, limited to the first 100 registrants; a free-entry code is provided by the organizer.
Awards include trophies for top three male and female overall finishers and top three masters 40 plus, medals for top three in multiple age groups from 12 and under through 85 plus, and gift certificates for top finishers. All finishers receive a medal at the finish line.
Proceeds and donated items benefit people living with HIV and cancer through several local health and community organizations. Bib pickup is offered in person at the event and virtual bibs are mailed the Monday prior with typical mail delivery of 3 to 5 days.
