500 Festival Running Events : May 2, 2026
The event day features the IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon and the Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K on May 2, 2026. The Mini-Marathon marks its 50th running in 2026. The 5K will be held for the 27th time. The event brings over 20,000 participants and draws entrants from all 50 states and more than 20 countries. The Mini-Marathon has been recognized as "America's Best Half Marathon" by USA TODAY 10Best.

- IU Health 500 Festival Mini-Marathon - includes a 2.5-mile lap around Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- Delta Dental 500 Festival 5K - 3.1 miles
The Mini-Marathon begins and ends in downtown Indianapolis and includes a lap around the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway, offering an opportunity to run the track and pass the start/finish line bricks. The 5K course goes through the streets of downtown Indianapolis and has served as the USATF 5KM Championships course.
