5 km Route LCDC
The 5 km Route LCDC is a road running event held in Lac-Beauport, featuring a flat and fast course certified by Athletics Canada and recognized by World Athletics. The event is known for its high level of competition, having hosted the Quebec 5 km Road Championships for five consecutive years. A unique feature of the event is the family podium, which rewards families based on their average cumulative time in the 5 km race. To be eligible, an team must include at least one parent and one child. The race uses a wave start system with corrals based on estimated finishing times.
Participants have access to on-site animation, professional photography, post-race meals, and live timing provided by Sportstats for the main distance. The event also includes a philanthropic component, offering free entries to organizations supporting youth in need through its Pace & Love movement.
