11th Annual 4th of July 5K - Plymouth
The event is a road 5K held in Plymouth on July 4. Proceeds support July 4 Plymouth, Inc to help cover parade and fireworks expenses. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Registration is online only; there is no paper registration at pre-race pickup or on race day. Pricing is tiered by registration date for adults and students, and fees do not include the service fee. A no-shirt option is available for a $10 discount until the shirt deadline on June 14. Online pickup is scheduled on July 2 and July 3 at Marathon Sports, 9 Court Street, Plymouth, and on July 4 at DCR Pilgrim Memorial State Park, Water Street.
The race enforces a 60 minute time limit; the finish line will close when that limit is reached. Awards are given to overall 1st through 3rd male and female finishers, plus 1st through 3rd male and female in age groups 10 & under, 11-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. Awards are presented after the race at the parade reviewing stand on Water Street near Plymouth Rock.
Course and runner logistics note that Water Street will be closed to traffic on race morning from Union Street to Brewster Street and that there is no parking allowed in the start/finish area. Dogs are not permitted on the course; service animals may be accommodated with prior approval from the organizers. Paid parking regulations apply in town and some nearby streets will be inaccessible on race morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
