4th of July 5K - Plymouth
The event is an annual 5K road race held in Plymouth on July 4 that supports July 4 Plymouth Inc. Proceeds assist with parade and fireworks expenses for the town's Fourth of July celebrations.
All registration for the event is online only; there is no paper registration at packet pickup or on race day. Registration pricing is tiered by age and date: Adult (18 plus) rates change across three registration windows, Student (11 to 17) and Child (10 and under) plus Senior (70 plus) categories have separate tiered rates. Prices do not include service fees. A no shirt option was offered with a ten dollar discount through the stated shirt deadline of June 14.
Packet pickup is available at Marathon Sports, 9 Court Street, Plymouth on the days before the event, and on race day at DCR Pilgrim Memorial State Park, Water Street, Plymouth. The course has a 60 minute time limit and the finish line will close at the designated cutoff. Awards are presented for overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and for 1st through 3rd in age groups: 10 and under, 11 to 15, 16 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, and 80 plus. Awards are distributed immediately after the race and are not mailed.
Race safety and logistics notes include no dogs allowed on the course, closures of Water Street from Union Street to Brewster Street to traffic, and restricted parking in the start and finish area.
