About the race
The 24h du Lac is a 24-hour endurance and charity event held at Lac-Beauport on 22 to 23 August 2026, marking its 20th edition. Teams of 5 to 12 people relay across day and night so there is always at least one team member active on course. The event runs on several local sites: the loop around Lac-Beauport, the Sentier du Moulin and the Centre de ski Le Relais.
Five disciplines are offered: walking, road running, trail running, mountain biking and road cycling. The road loop around the lake measures 7.6 km and is used for road running, walking and road cycling. Organizers plan a trail loop of about 7 to 8 km at the ski centre for the trail running discipline. Mountain biking takes place on the marked trails of the Sentiers du Moulin; a shuttle connects the main site at Le Relais with the Sentiers du Moulin. Road cycling runs in peloton on the Tour-du-Lac loop and is accompanied by a lead car and a safety truck.
Participants commit to fundraising for partner foundations. Each participant must raise a minimum of 400 USD; for example, a five-person team must raise 2000 USD. The event includes a public "Marcheur d’un tour" option and an evening illuminated walk with light bracelets and necklaces to light the course.
