All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Registration fees increase the Monday before the race.

The course is an out-and-back route. The 5K is run as two repetitions of the basic out-and-back loop; the 10K uses four repetitions. The race has a 2-hour course time limit. All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. A group photo is taken at the beginning of each race and a best-costume award is presented at that time.
