About the race
The Madrid-Segovia is an ultratrail that links the capital of Spain with the city of Segovia along the Vías Pecuarias of the Camino de Santiago. The event is scheduled for 19-20 September 2026 and includes several distance options.
The main 100k XTREME covers 102.8 km with +2140 m of accumulated ascent and a time limit of 18 hours; it starts in Plaza de Castilla and finishes at the foot of the Roman Aqueduct of Segovia. The 100k Peregrino follows the same route over 102.8 km with a time limit of 21 hours and is organized as a marcha senderista. The course for the longer distances crosses ten municipalities in two provinces and passes through the Parque Nacional de Guadarrama and the Parque Regional Cuenca Alta del Manzanares. Notable landmarks on the route include the Castillo de los Mendoza (Manzanares El Real) and the Puente Medieval del Batán (Colmenar Viejo). Surfaces are mainly dirt tracks and mountain trails.
