100 Days to the Virginia 10 Miler Fun Run
The event marks 100 days before the Moore & Giles Virginia 10 Miler with a community fun run in Lynchburg on June 18, 2026. It starts from First Christian Church at 3109 Rivermont Avenue and follows an out and back course that uses the Virginia 10 Miler route through Riverside Park and back, a distance of approximately 3.5 miles.
Runners and walkers are invited to participate. Registration is free and is handled in advance. Local running groups and vendors will be present to provide support and resources, including demo footwear from Brooks and staffing from training partner Endurance offering advice and plans. Riverside Runners and Brooks will offer free Rookies ice cream to the first 100 checked in, and one participant will be awarded a pair of Brooks running shoes.
This activity is presented as a fun run rather than a timed race. Participants are asked to follow traffic laws and remain on sidewalks while on the course.
