Event Overview
The 1 Mill Street Regency 10K is a 10 km multi-terrain race. It is organised by volunteers from the Leamington Round Table, with support from local groups including Spa Striders. The event was founded in 2004 and attracts around 2,500 runners annually, having raised over £500,000 for local causes such as homeless support, youth groups, and school projects.
Course and Logistics
The race starts at Newbold Terrace East in Leamington Spa and finishes at Mill Gardens, next to Jephson Gardens. The route goes in an anti-clockwise direction around Newbold Comyn, passes through Victoria Park and Jephson Gardens, and finishes with spectators at Mill Gardens. The course is a combination of paved surfaces and bridleways, with all road sections closed to traffic.
Professional chip timing is used. Race numbers and timing chips are posted to participants two weeks before the event if they register by 28th March 2026; otherwise, collection is required on the morning of the race from a registration tent.
Participant Information
All finishers receive a medal. There are cash prizes for the top three male and female finishers, and trophies for various age and team categories. A free entry is offered for guides of partially sighted or blind runners. A baggage storage facility is available at the finish area. Temporary toilets are located near the start. Medical support from Med Event UK is present on the course and at the finish.
The event operates under UK Athletics rules. This means in-ear or over-ear headphones are not permitted, though bone-conducting headphones are allowed. Dogs and buggies are also not permitted, with exceptions for registered medical assistance dogs.
