Event overview

The 2026 Waddling Warriors Adventure Race is scheduled for May 2, 2026 in Bagley, Wisconsin. It is organized by Team LadyPenguins Fundraising and headquartered at the Hugh Harper indoor group camp in Wyalusing State Park. The event is USARA sanctioned and allows both teams and solo entrants. Adventure racing here includes biking, paddling (canoes provided), trekking/running, orienteering, and team challenges. One night of dorm-style lodging at the group camp is included with registration. The group camp has a lodge, dormitories, showers, kitchen facilities, and will serve as race headquarters and meal site.

Race options and course details

Two race lengths are offered: a 13-hour option and a 5-hour option. The 5-hour course is planned to be bike-optional. Solo entries may incur an added fee to cover boat rental and materials. USARA single-day licenses or annual memberships are required for participants.

Waddling Warriors Adventure Race - 13HR distances:

  • Bike: ~60k (35-40 miles), ~3,000-3,200 ft elevation
  • Trek/land navigation: ~18k (9-12 miles), ~800-1,000 ft elevation
  • Paddle: ~10k (6-7 miles)

Waddling Warriors Adventure Race - 5HR distances:

  • Bike: ~15k (9-10 miles), ~800-1,000 ft elevation
  • Trek/land navigation: ~10k (6-18 miles), ~400-1,000 ft elevation
  • Paddle: ~8k (5 miles)
