The Spooky Duke is the 15th annual 5K, 10K, and costume march held on November 8, 2025 in Boone, North Carolina. The in-person course is on the Appalachian State University campus at 416 Howard St, Boone, NC 28608. A virtual option is available; virtual participants may complete the distance on a course of their choosing.

Registration and race items: registration closes November 5, 2025. Register by October 24, 2025 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Entry fees listed in the event materials are $25 for the 5k, $30 for the 10k, and $25 for the virtual event. Virtual participants who choose to have a shirt mailed pay an additional $6 fee. Updated race maps and USATF-certified 5K/10K maps are provided by the organizers.
Organizer and purpose
The event is organized by Parent to Parent Family Support Network High Country (FSN-HC). FSN-HC provides support, education, and connections for families with children who have diverse physical, emotional, intellectual, or health needs, families of children born prematurely, and families grieving the death of a child. The organization serves Alleghany, Ashe, Mitchell, Watauga, Wilkes, and Yancey counties. Funds raised support one-on-one family connections, support groups, and skill-building workshops.
