Event overview
Running of the Elves 5K is scheduled for Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Central Wildcat Stadium, 13845 Hooper Rd, Central, LA 70818. This is the 13th annual edition. The event program includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The Fun Run is scheduled to take place before the 5K. The event will be chip timed by Pelican Timing. All participants receive a finisher's medal. Participants registered by November 12 are guaranteed a t-shirt and a finisher's medal. Awards include top overall male and female, first and second in each 5K age group, and a Fun Run overall male and female award. A costume contest and other post-race activities are listed, along with giveaways, pictures with Santa, pancakes and coffee, and kid activities. The race benefits the Central Chamber of Commerce and its Shop Small Business Saturday Campaign.
Registration and packet pickup
Online registration is available and closes on November 20, 2025. Standard 5K registration fees are listed as:
- $30 through October 1, 2025
- $35 from October 2 through November 20, 2025
- $40 on race day
A group discount option for groups of five or more is listed at $25 for the 5K. The 1 Mile Fun Run is listed at $30. Early packet pickup is at Central Community Athletics Gym, 10510 Joor Rd, on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Race day packet pickup begins at the stadium.
