The Philip Carter Haunted Wine Run 5k is a Halloween-themed running and walking event held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Philip Carter Winery in Hume, Virginia (4366 Stillhouse Road). The event includes a 5k distance. The course is a two-loop route that starts and finishes at the winery and runs around and through the property; the organizer notes the route is not fast and accommodates runners and walkers. The race is professionally timed and scored by J3 Timing, with results posted online.
Registration and race services
Registration materials and race day services include a ring-spun cotton T-shirt, a shatterproof collapsible wine glass, a wine glass-shaped finisher medal, a chip-timed race bib, and a wine pour. Minors receive a discounted registration that includes a shirt, medal, and bib but do not receive the wine glass or wine pour. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each 10-year category (1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+); awards are available for pickup on race day and will not be shipped. Packet pickup is race day only and opens shortly before the event. A virtual participation option is available; packets can be picked up or shipped for a $10 shipping and handling charge.
