About the race
The Mapleton Sunflower Run, held in Moorefield, Ontario, offers a scenic running experience through sunflower fields and country terrain. Participants can choose from a 2km kids race, a 5km race for adults and older kids, or a 10km race that loops through grass paths, tree tunnels, hay fields, and alongside ponds and crops. The course combines road and natural surfaces, providing a unique and friendly atmosphere suitable for beginners and experienced runners alike.
All finishers receive bright race shirts and handcrafted sunflower medals made by a local blacksmith. Post-race festivities include live music, a handmade market, food vendors, and celebratory drinks, making it a vibrant community event.
