Event details
The Last Friday of the Month 5k is a monthly running event held in Hyde Park. The course is two laps around the Serpentine with the start and finish at the Boat House on the northern side of the lake. The race is organised by volunteers from Serpentine Running and Triathlon Club and is held under UK Athletics rules (England Athletics Licence number 29177). The minimum age to take part is 11 years. There is a cut-off time of 35 minutes, after which the course is no longer marshalled and results will not be recorded. The event distance is 5k.
Entry, rules and facilities
Entry is by online registration only; entries are not accepted on the day. The entry fee is £7.00 for competitors affiliated to an England Athletics-registered club and £9.00 for unaffiliated runners. Refunds are not given except in exceptional circumstances at the club committee’s discretion. For safety, competitors must not run while wearing headphones and must be fit enough to run 5 km. Participants should complete the medical and emergency contact details on the back of their race number. There are no changing or shower facilities at the Boat House; public toilets are available about 500 m from the start (card payment, 20p). Personal belongings may be left near the start at the owner’s risk. Race results, including name, club, time and age category, are published and may be shared with affiliated organisations.
