FUNd Run
The FUNd Run is a community fundraising event held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the Ravinia Festival main gate. Proceeds support need-based scholarship opportunities for District 112 families and other foundation initiatives. The event is held rain or shine.
Two event formats are offered:
- 5K race
- Family Walk
Packet pick-up is available on Thursday, September 24 from 12:00 to 18:00 and Friday, September 25 from 12:00 to 17:00 at Indian Trail School in the warehouse/garage building at the east edge of the parking lot. All participants must collect race packets at packet pick-up.
Entry fees are listed separately for students and adults for both the 5K and the Family Walk, with different adult pricing before and after a specified date. Special rates for District 112 teachers, military families and students of low socioeconomic status are available through the foundation or a building principal.
The event partners with Dare2Tri to provide accommodations, race support, adaptive equipment and guides for athletes with disabilities. Course details note one water station on the 5K, an open course with vehicular traffic on the opposite side of the road, and parking at the main Ravinia lot with entry off Green Bay Road. Dogs are not permitted. Strollers are allowed on the Family Walk but not on the 5K; scooters and bikes are not permitted. Kids should be accompanied by an adult.
All race participants receive a FUNd Run 2026 Dri fit t shirt; shirts are guaranteed to those who register by 9/22/26. Participants may opt out of race swag to direct more funds to the scholarship program. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
