Kings Seat Santa Day Hill Race
The event takes place on Saturday 6 December 2025 at Stanley Hill Garden, opposite The Dunkeld Cathedral (Grid Ref NO032420) in Dunkeld, Scotland. The event is organised by Wild Outdoors Scotland. Registration at Stanley Hill is from 10.00am. Fancy dress is optional and there are prizes for best fancy dress. Entries open 25 November 2025 and close 5 December 2025. Entry fees are £10.00 for seniors and £2.00 for juniors.
Course and race categories
- 1 km - Junior race for runners up to 11 years old.
- 5 km - Senior race and under-16s, with approximately 100 m climb.
The junior race is a short undulating grass and trail run with a hill in the middle near the cathedral. The senior route is a marked trail running through grassy fields and trails, with an initial short climb over a road into the forest to Kings Seat. The course goes around the Dunkeld House Hotel and returns via a river path beside the cathedral path. There will be marshals at key points on the course. The route includes a compulsory checkpoint at the summit of Kings Seat, which is noted as not marshalled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
